Josh Matlow is a lifelong resident of Midtown Toronto, where he lives with his wife Melissa and daughter Molly. Prior to his role as Councillor, he served as co-director of Earthroots, a leading environmental organization, where he championed the protection of the Oak Ridges Moraine.

As a dedicated advocate for seniors, Josh has championed initiatives to create an Age-Friendly city, ensuring older adults have access to quality-of-life improvements, including accessible transportation, safe and affordable housing, and vibrant community spaces.

As a former school trustee and a dedicated community advocate, Josh has a strong track record of fighting for residents’ needs. He has championed initiatives such as expanding green energy options, improving access to quality education and affordable housing, and advocating for enhanced community safety.

He brings a strong, independent voice and a commitment to improving the lives of all Torontonians to every policy debate.
