Arlene Howells
Interim Director, Engagement, Partnerships and Communications
Arlene Howells is an award-winning change management and communications leader with over 30 years of experience. She has led change, communications, and engagement programs to support large-scale, complex change programs and projects for clients in the public, private and not-for profit sectors in Canada and around the world. Her experience includes 20 years of public policy program implementation for key healthcare related change initiatives in Ontario.
Arlene was part of the Toronto Seniors Housing Transition Team and led communication and engagements efforts to create the corporation for the City of Toronto. Her practical approach to problem solving, coupled with her strategic acumen, has earned her a reputation as a trusted advisor who can offer straightforward counsel in disruptive times.
Arlene is a recipient of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada, Canadian Information Productivity Award, and the National LEADing Practices Award from Canada Health Infoway. She has served on several boards and charitable organizations in support of ending homelessness and poverty in rural communities, and raising awareness of women and children’s issues locally and globally.
